Title: Cutout Christmas Cookies

1cButter or margarine, softened
1cSugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2tsVanilla extract
3 1/2cAll-purpose flour
1tsGround cinnamon
1/2tsBaking powder
1/2tsSalt
1/4tsGround cloves
1/4tsGround nutmeg
1 Egg white, beaten
  Colored decorating sugar

In a mxing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, cloves and nutmeg; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for at least 1 hour. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough, a partion at a time, to 1/8" thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheets. b|akt at 350 F. for 12-14 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Carefully brush with egg white; sprinkle with colored sugar.
